•    Develop Overall Driveline Architecture: Define high-level system targets and identify the necessary technologies to achieve them, considering both short-term and long-term objectives. We value diverse perspectives in shaping innovative solutions.
•    Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, including engineering teams within the Volvo Group, product planning, and market representatives, to gather and analyse functional and non-functional requirements. We encourage input from all voices to ensure comprehensive understanding.
•    Technical Specification Development: Translate gathered requirements into detailed technical specifications that guide the design and development process. Your insights will help create a more inclusive and effective design.
•    Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in a supportive and collaborative environment, ensuring that all components of the driveline system work together seamlessly. We believe that diverse teams drive better outcomes.
•    Technology Monitoring: Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends in electric driveline systems. 
•    Technology Evaluation: Assess new technologies and methodologies that could enhance system performance or reduce costs. Your unique perspective can contribute to innovative solutions that benefit the entire team.
•    Technical Guidance and Support: Provide technical guidance and support during the development and testing phases. Lead troubleshooting efforts for system-level issues, collaborating with engineering teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. 

 

Your future team

 

The Propulsion System and Energy Management team is ready to welcome you. You will find diverse and experienced engineers that cover the broad span from ICE tech to Battery expertise as well as energy efficiency and powertrain simulations. You will also collaborate with Brazil organization and the complete Volvo Group. We are a mix of deep system knowledge as well as broad system, detail design engineering capabilities covered in the team.

•    Project Management Experience: Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing projects from concept to implementation, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications. Your leadership will inspire collaboration and drive success.
•    Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to electric vehicles and driveline systems, ensuring compliance and best practices in your work.
•    System Engineering Methodologies: Familiarity with system engineering methodologies and best practices, including requirements management, system validation, and verification processes, to ensure robust system design.
•    Additional Knowledge: Experience in related fields such as cell development, automotive electrical engineering, or software development is highly desirable. We welcome diverse backgrounds, as they enrich our team and enhance our projects.
