Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Store items in designated locations in an organized and accessible manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through manual logs or inventory management software.
- Conduct regular stock counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Reorder stock as necessary to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Ensure reman cores returned on time.
Issuing and Dispatching
- Process and fulfill requests for materials and supplies from internal departments.
- Prepare and issue materials to staff as required, ensuring proper documentation and tracking.
- Arrange and oversee the dispatch of items to various locations as needed.
- Provide a parts quotation for direct sales.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent; a diploma in supply chain management or related field is an advantage.
- Proven experience as a storekeeper or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures.
- Proficiency in using inventory software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Experience in handling logistics and procurement tasks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
