Introduction

Service Market Logistics (SML) is one of our well-respected departments at Volvo Group. It is with great pride that we look upon our Ghent distribution center, being the biggest DC of the Volvo Group worldwide. It holds spare parts for multiple brands of the Volvo Group, for example Volvo Trucks, Construction Equipment, Volvo Buses, and the marine- and industrial engines. Being successful in the long run, that is our vision! Therefore, next to storage we also offer multiple secondary activities, focusing on delivery precision, service, and efficiency.

Our team is called Process & IT and supports region Gent & EU when it comes to leveraging the data journey. The team consist of both Business Analysts and Data Analysts.

We are part of the Operational Support team in CDC Ghent. This department supports operations in different ways with topics related to Maintenance and Real Estate, Process & IT, Warehouse & Packaging Engineering, Warehouse Technologies, Lead DC and Known Consignor.

  • You can manage analytics projects, including scoping, planning, execution, and delivering on deadlines.
  • You can take the lead and represent the team in complex and ambiguous subjects.
  • You actively contribute to the use of SML Cloud and can convey the business need to the correct (IT-) stakeholders.

Are you the one?

  • You have a master's degree or equivalent through experience.
  • You have prior experience in the field of data analysis.
  • You are a creative problem-solver who is passionate about digging into complex challenges and devising new approaches to reach results.
  • You can implement and drive long term data strategies aligned with the business objectives, including data governance and quality frameworks
  • You are a fast learner who can quickly adapt to new tools and methodologies.
  • You can reflect on your work and assumptions, and you are not afraid to validate these in our operational context.
  • You are proficient in Power Platform, Databricks, SQL and Python.
  • You have a good understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow and accessibility
  • You can work with data in a broad perspective, from engineering to visualization.
